Keywords are the building blocks of research. Good search terms get better results.

How to brainstorm keywords: 

• List important terms from your research question (and other questions related to your topic)
• Think of synonyms and broader/narrower terms
• Use Boolean logic in Advanced searches
  • AND (narrows search): climate change AND agriculture
  • OR (expands search): education OR schooling
  • NOT (excludes): AI NOT military

Remember to return to your keyword list often and add new terms as you find them in other sources!
